Dance movement therapy (DMT) is a form of therapy in which movement is used to get closer to yourSelf. On a physical level, dance therapy helps to release stress, relax, change moods, and enrich the daily experience with not "intellectual or mental" elements, but physical, emotional, and spiritual.



In general, dance therapy is liberating and good for both physical and mental health. Dance movement therapy is especially useful if you want to achieve stress reduction. In addition, the physical component of DMT provides increased muscle strength, coordination, mobility, and reduced muscle tone and thus promotes physical health. In general, dance therapy promotes self-awareness, self-esteem, and a sense of security and freedom is experienced to express feelings and emotions from movement.

Dance of the Soul is Dance Movement therapy 

Body and mind are connected and they influence each other.  Movement generates body awareness and with it an integration of body-mind-spirit is promoted and encouraged. Aspects of the personality and elements of a trauma are manifested in the body through unconscious processes, creating psycho-emotional blockages. Dance of the Soul is a powerful tool for the healing of those blockages. 


Through conscious movement a person reconnects with her body, learning to breathe, and listening to feelings, emotions and sensations awakened by the music. Dance movement technique mobilizes, channels and transmutes psycho-emotional complexes using spontaneous and non-stereotyped movement. So the body becomes a vehicle for psycho-emotional transformation; increasing body awareness, managing and expressing emotions, and strengthening integration of body-mind-spirit.


Dance movement therapy that I teach is a personal combination of different forms of dance and movement that I have come to know and practice as a therapist during my life. It is a unique mix that I have called Dance of the Soul. 



Dance of the Soul is a healing (sacred) dance. It is a form of dance movement therapy in which I guide people to place themselves in the centre of their own universe. I guide people to enter a state of being in which with the help of music and movement, the body connects to the Soul.

Dance movement therapy, free encounter with your Self 

Traditional psychotherapy is characterized by 'talking about problems'. However, there are more opportunities to express yourself. Dance movement therapy is a – if you like – wordless encounter with yourself and a way to fully express your inner experience.

    Dance of the Soul

Dance movement therapy is for people of any age

Dance of the Soul is accessible to people of any age, regardless their physical condition. It can be practiced both individually, or in a group. Group work offers a series of sessions (e.g., 10) on a specific topic. There is no choreography to follow. A person dances with himself, within a safe and supportive setting.


It is effective for people with different abilities.


Individual sessions on dance-movement therapy can be reimbursed by insurance companies. But group sessions are not.

Within this frame I combine elements of mystical Kabbalah, therapeutic meditation, shamanic practices, hebrew pendulum, reiki, the reading of akashic records, movement-art therapy, aromatherapy with natural oils.
